She\u2019s in love with Dalton, a boy who barely knows who she is. Her grades are in the toilet. And she\u2019s new in town, so she has no friends, except for Nate. When Nate mysteriously disappears, the door opens to a terrifying shadow world she only glimpses at first. That is, until three younger boys show up almost on her doorstep, naked and on the run. Mia is dragged into this shadow world where the disappearances herald something much more insidious\u2014a spreading plague of lycanthropy. A hidden population of bioengineered werewolves is quietly growing among the normal human population, thanks to an unknown virus.\u00a0 Mia must save the three orphaned boys from their brutal Alpha, a man-wolf who believes humans should be kept as food, and the only person she can turn to for help is the last person in the world she wants to put in danger, Dalton.
