Sound the trumpets, but keep your eyes open for signs of lycanthropy.
I just signed a contract with Damnation Books to publish my Young Adult horror/sci-fi novel, The Wild Boys. It is slated for a December 1, 2012 release, just in time for stocking stuffers.
Can a 16-year-old girl stem the tide of a werewolf apocalypse?
Mia’s mother blames her for the accidental death of Mia’s little brother–perhaps Mia does, too–and her father is too wrapped up in work to notice. She’s in love with Dalton, a boy who barely knows who she is. Her grades are in the toilet. And she’s new in town, so she has no friends, except for Nate. When Nate mysteriously disappears, the door opens to a terrifying shadow world she only glimpses at first. That is, until three younger boys show up almost on her doorstep, naked and on the run. Mia is dragged into this shadow world where the disappearances herald something much more insidious—a spreading plague of lycanthropy. A hidden population of bioengineered werewolves is quietly growing among the normal human population, thanks to an unknown virus. Mia must save the three orphaned boys from their brutal Alpha, a man-wolf who believes humans should be kept as food, and the only person she can turn to for help is the last person in the world she wants to put in danger, Dalton. A war is brewing for the top of the food chain, and Mia doesn’t know it yet, but her DNA holds the key to the future of the human race.
As always, it will be available in both e-book and trade paperback.
